Description
At the BIN price (00), I am offering you a tested well workingTek PG506A, serial # B010157, vertical channel scope calibration plugin (fits in TM5__series power frames) for 30% of its 00 new price in 1999. PG506A is the circa 1988 successor to the 1978 introduced PG506. In about 2000 Tek sold the line to Tegam (in OH, US) which continued it until about 2010. The PG506A replaced some electro-mechanical relays with FET switches presumably for better reliability. This item has not been recently traceably calibrated, but if you don't mind the added delay and cost (a few days and 0), I can take it to a local cal lab for certification. It does however agree well with another I have that is calibrated. If you make offer less for slightly less than BIN, I will substitute an earlier PG506, and if you offer significantly less than BIN the PG506 I'll send you may have issues/need repair and/or cal. The only way I will send you the PG506A at a lesser offer is if you are in a foreign country trying to reduce your import tax (based on ebay sell price) but are willing to make up the difference to me in a separate payment. If that is your objective, please make it clear in your offer terms. If you need a TM5__ series power frame, there are many offered on ebay, or I may be able to sell you one.
Inside one of these plugins are 3 generator circuits: a) a very accurate (+/-0.25% amplitude) 1KHz square wave generator that puts out 200 microvolts to 100V in 1-2-5 steps, b) a very fast (1nS or less into 50 ohms, upto 1Vpp, 10Hz to 1MHz rep rate) rise/fall square wave generator that checks risetime capability, and c) another (not as fast 10Hz-1MHz) square wave generator with a max amplitude of 60Vpp into open or 5V into 50 ohms. The third one is not very useful in my opinion. The first one can be varied +/- 8% digitally to measure a scope's vertical accuracy more conveniently.
First photo shows a 10V signal sent out centered around 0% error. 2nd and 3rd photos show the 10V signal raised and lowered by about 5% to simulate a 5% error. 7th shows risetime for fast rise. 8th & 9th show a 2Vpp 1KHz signal. 10th shows a tiny 2mV signal relatively free/clean of noise. 11th shows same for a 20mV signal, and last shows a 20V signal, where it should be easy to not be noisy.
The scopes and Fluke DMM seen in the photos are not part of this sale, but just used to show PG506A works correctly. If you don't already have a 50ohm coax of 3-4 feet length, and a 50 ohm feedthru termination, you may want to look for these or ask me for them.
Please make sure Ebay has your current correct ship-to address on file before you pay as that is where I must ship. Mistakes are costly to fix after you pay, as I cannot offer cash refunds, but only store credit.
I ship worldwide. Ebay requires I ship by carrier/method that includes tracking & delivery confirmation, which public Airmail is not good at, so don't ask for it if you are outside the US and outside Ebay's Global Shipping Program (where I have to use UPS, FEDEX, or DHL).
Ebay, as a large e-commerce site, now collects sales tax from many of the 50 States. I have nothing to do with that, and I do not collect sales tax for other than California on my own sales. If you are outside California and don't feel like paying the tax, buy something else cheaper from me first, and a workaround will present itself.
Buy more INCENTIVE: If you BIN this one, I will offer you a 10% discount on subsequent purchase(s) from me. If you want the 10% discount on this one, buy something else cheaper from me first.
HURRY INCENTIVE: If you buy it at my asking price by 12 July 21, I will add a 50ohm coax cable and a 50ohm feedthru termination.
