    Description

We are selling many old pieces of what we believe is EITHER Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) or American Brilliant Cut Glass (ABP). These pieces have never been in circulation before as these are all heirloom pieces from the owner, my mom, who is 82. These are her grandmothers passed down from her mother. If we had to date them, most likely 1890 give or take 15 years. All pieces appear to be Crystal Glass as they have that distinctive "ring" to them when flicked with a fingernail. Some are thicker and slightly colored darker which may indicated leaded material and we see marks from Imperial Glass, Nucut, Krys-tol, and some are unmarked. We will describe each piece as well as possible.
Please ask questions, what you see is what you get, and good luck bidding. All proceeds are being donated to University of Rochester Medical Center's Cardiology Lab in memory of my Father who recently passed away. They gave us 10 more years than anyone expected and Mom is selling off her Heirloom pieces as a way to say Thank You. I will thank you all now for your winning bids.
This listing is for a nice EAPG or American Brilliant Cut Style COMPOTE. I am not an expert but seems like this one could be either, I flipped a coin and placed in EAPG. This piece is approximately 5 1/2" diameter and stands about 5" tall. Opening at the top is 5" and smooth. The glass thickness is about 1/4", pretty uniform. have felt all over the surface and the piece feels very clean, nothing sharp, no fleabites, no cracks.
The outside edge at the top is a smooth scallop, the entire outside is a diamond pattern with smaller diamonds at the center stem growing larger as the move up and out. This one shines, reflects all over. Note one small chip on the edge of the base. This piece also has the most distinctive "ring" to it

Folks, if you watch our listings and follow us as a Seller on eBay, you will see we have fine, quality items, some newer & some older, and always are changing our stock. We spend a fair amount of time learning about each piece as needed and research prices on this site as well as other online sales venues. Our  auction listings will all start at fair prices and if we place a Buy It Now value that is also fair based on prior sales. If you are looking for a deal you will find it here. If you are holding off placing your bid hoping the price might drop if we relist, I will save you time now; the opening bid price will be the same if we do relist any unsold items.
