    Description

    Vintage HEDDON #14 THOROBRED Split Bamboo Fly Rod. It was handmade, is tapered and tempered and was made for a 4 1/2 oz weight. It was reported to have been made between 1939 - 1941.
    It measures 8 1/ 2 ' and has 4 equally measured pieces of 34 1/2". All of the eyes are in place and the thread is tight. It has the original Sack & Dowagiac metal Tube.
    The rod has been in the sock, and tube, for most of it's life. It has not been cleaned! This is one very nice Trout Fly Rod!
