This auction is for a vintage Union Hardware Company 8 1/2’ Split Bamboo Fly Rod and Reel with Rod Tube and Sleeve. The rod was made in Torrington, Connecticut around the 1930’s and is in very good condition for being 80 plus years old. The wraps around the guides are original and pretty solid. This model 7169 reel was also made by Union Hardware and has vintage braided line spooled up from back in the day. The auction also includes the rod tube and sleeve shown in the photos. The rod sleeve has some wear and is probably not the original canvas version these rods came with, but it works for now. Cool vintage bamboo fly rod combo to add your your collection.
