Vintage Montague Clipper bamboo fly rod w/ two tips NR

Description

This auction is for a three-piece Montague Clipper model split bamboo fly rod with two tips. All sections measure approximately 38 1/2" long on this 9 1/2' 3/2 rod. Agatine stripping guide. Burgundy wraps tipped yellow. Hook keeper. Missing tip tops and male ferrule on mid section - likely a size 18. Female ferrule on handle sections cracked. Tip and mid female (size 11) ferrules still good. Sold as a project rod or for parts. Original varnish is in good condition - rod does not look to have ever been over coated. Bamboo sections look to be in good condition with no breaks or damage. With the extended length of the sections these can often be cut down to match the tapers of other rods for repair or restoration. See pictures for full description. Sold as shown.
