    Victoria Carlsbad Austria Kaufmann Neoclassical Women & Cherub 9 3/4 Inch Plate
    Very nice porcelain plate. Nicely decorated in the scene with a transfer scene of three Greek or Roman women and a cherub in front of columns, typical for the time period this was made in. Signed Kaufmann. However, the grass, trees and sky are hand painted. Marked on the reverse in blue Victoria Carlsbad Austria. This mark was used by Schmidt & Co (Victoria Pottery) between 1891 and 1918.
    This appears to originally have been gilded around the very edge, but most of the gilding has worn off. Otherwise excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
    Measures approximately 9 3/4 inches wide.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
