    Description

    Victoria Carlsbad Austria Georgian Colonial Ladies Tea Party Plate C. 1891 - 1918
    Very pretty porcelain plate decorated in the Royal Vienna style. Has a central scene of two Georgian / Colonial women having tea and a man holding a bouquet of flowers behind his back. Has elaborate fancy gold gilt scrollwork decoration along the border.
    Marked on the base Victoria Carlsbad Austria in blue. This mark was used by Schmidt & Company between 1891 and 1918.
    The plate has quite a bit of wear to the gilding, especially along the edge. Otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
    Measures approximately 8 5/8 inches wide.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
