Victoria Austria Neoclassical Muses Cherubs Cobalt & Gold 8 1/2 Inch Plate
Very pretty scalloped edge porcelain plate. Nicely decorated with a neoclassical / allegorical scene in the center of three Greek or Roman women (possibly muses)  and cherubs with paintings, scrolls and a marble bust. With a gold gilt overlay border along the inner rim of the plate. The border of the plate itself is a deep cobalt blue with fancy gold gilt overlay, with white along the very edge with gold gilt overlay. Marked Victoria Carlsbad Austria on the back in blue. This mark was used by Schmidt & Co between 1891 and 1918.
Has some usage or stacking wear and some wear to the gilding especially along the inner rim of the plate and the very edge of the plate, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Still a very pretty plate.
Measures approximately  8 1/2 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
