Description
If you have a "HP Infinium" branded oscilloscope with Configuration#1 which has Windows 95,54810-66510 (Atlas PCI-II 727 motherboard, no USB) and want modern goodies like Windows 98, USB 2.0 and SSD, it's a convoluted process with multiple parts and the right firmware combination to get it to work.
However, I got the rough edges figured out. This listing covers parts + labor (but NOT shipping in either direction) that upgrades your scope to
Windows 98
Memory upgrade to 32MB or above (yours should have 16MB only) required for Windows 98 to run.
SSD (for reliability). This is the hardest part that requires making special connectors. Typical 2.5" SSD usually don't work on this board.
Adds USB 2.0
USB Mass Storage (USB flash/thumb drives, external disks) without the need to install drivers (Windows 98 typically need drivers for each mass storage device before this mod).
This applies to 54835A, 54845A, and 54846A, as well as 54810A, 54815A, 54820A, 54825A. If you have a unit branded "Agilent Infiniium", contact me for details.
Send/deliver your Infinium oscilloscope to Irvine, CA at your own cost and I'll install it for you.
The picture shown is a working example of a unit I upgraded. This is a listing for services, so sales tax does not apply to CA.
Sometimes people ask me for kits and hope to save money by putting in their own labor. It won't save you money unless you are outside USA/Canada that it cost 00+ to ship back and forth. Configuration #1 is thorny: even if I were to write a book of detail instructions (not worth the labor), the tech doing the upgrade is going to have a ton of support questions which I'll end up dumping days of labor for no good reason (and I'll bill you for it). Not to mention if your unit has some deviations, I'll have to figure something out on the spot, which is painful to do remotely. I can give you a discount if you can find me independently through searching "Humgar LLC" (the first link), but spare me from the unnecessary remote troubleshooting work.
