Description
GOLDWORKEMBROIDERED SHEER JACKET
This handmade jacket is new and unworn.
The
metallic
embroidery is gold and purple.
The fabric is very lightweight and sheer.
The extensive goldwork makes the finished piece heavy.
There are areas of the red fabric throughout
that
have a
whitish
residue.
I am guessing that this is from
glue
(or
maybe starch) that was
used in the making of the jacket.
Please see close-up photos
.
There are no smoke odors and no pet odors.
There are no size tags and no fabric content tags.
Since I had to put a size in the listing I chose Large.
Please do not go by this.
Please compare your body
measurements to that of the jacket to ensure fit.
The material does not stretch
.

PRODUCT DETAILS :
Goldwork
is the art of embroidery using metal threads.
It is particularly prized for the way light plays on it.
The
term "goldwork" is used even when the threads are
imitation gold, silver, or copper.
The metal wires used to
make the threads have never been entirely gold; they have
usually been gold-coated silver (
silver gilt
) or cheaper metals,
and even then the "gold" often contains a very low percent
of real gold. Most metal threads are available in silver and
sometimes copper as well as gold; some are available in
colors as well. Goldwork was originally developed in Asia.
It has been used for at least 2000 years.
