New Custom Tunnel Diode Pulser 90pS Tr pos. 200mV out +1v input Cal Fixture etc!
New home made Custom Tunnel Diode Pulser with a typically 90pS rise time and a positive 200mV output. For input rise time's of < 10nS +1v input square wave is all that is required for trigger. For slower input rise times 2 volts is required. Measurements are made on my communications analyzer using a sampling head with a rise time of 13pS. The rising slope of the leading edge is what Tektronix Calls "preshoot" and is nothing more than the slower input rise time prior to the TD triggering. You can see the delta "T" between the two Red markers on this unit measuring the Tr as 86pS. The third photo shows the pulser verifying the 400mhz scope bandwidth. .340/800pS = 425MHz.
