This listing is for a gorgeous antique Victoria Carlsbad Austria porcelain enameled and gilt decorated urn/vase, c. 1900.
This beautiful vase features a large enamel hand painted floral design on the font of the vase with a smaller coordinating design on the back. The neck and lower body are cobalt blue decorated with a gilded honeycomb pattern. Vase has two gilt decorated handles.
The enamel decoration on this vase is beautifully hand painted with heavy application in some areas and finely detailed gilding. The creamy exterior of the vase has a matte finish with the cobalt areas having a glossy finish.
Measures 8 1/2" high with a 2 1/2" top opening, 5" wide (at widest) with a 3" diameter base.
The body of this stunning vase is in excellent condition. The base rim has a couple of faint sliver chips that are not seen when the vase is upright and do not affect the vase being able to sit straight on any surface. There are no other chips, cracks or noted flaws.
The base is marked with "Victoria, Carlsbad, Austria" with the appropriate trademark stamp.
