***This is a custom hand built complete rear wheel assembly for Kawasaki's biggest version of the KLX140 series known as the "G" bikes. EVERYTHING in this wheel was bought brand new as Genuine Kawasaki parts, including the 36 spoke hub. First, the hub was sent out for professional polishing and buffed. After the hub was cleaned it was sent out to be anodized green. Next, the hub was prepped for clear-coating in an oven. Next the hub was prepped for building / assembly by very carefully and methodically cleaning and sizing the hubs spoke bores to accurately and correctly accept the slightly over sized spokes (for strength). The bearing and seal bore I.D.'s also received the same attention. Once the hub was finished it was sent to the world famous wheelsmith shop known as Buchanan's Wheel & Spoke in California. This shop is well known the world over for hand-crafted wheel work. The black 18" x 1.85" Excel rim was specially chosen (as a blank) to accept the hub CORRECTLY !! This rim was provided by Buchanan's and was set up in their rim drilling machine to perfectly align the rims spoke bore direction to match that of the hub spoke pattern and cross count. *** If you look closely at the close up picture showing the rim stamp markings, you can see where the rim was drilled after anodized by Tagasago ** The rim was drilled oversize of stock whimpy skinny spokes as well as the hub, slightly but not too much to weaken the hub. Next Buchanan's hand made spokes from Stainless Steel and hand polished them. The package was then assembled, laced and trued by Buchanan's wheelsmith's while having brand new wheel bearings in place. Next the wheel was sent to me where I installed a brand new Dunlop Geomax MX-33  100/100-18 tire using new rim band and inner tube. Next the package was completed with a new Motion Pro rim lock and anodized valve stem and rim lock caps. *** This is NO COOKIE CUTTER WHEEL. It was built to take the punishment of bigger, heavier, stronger and faster kids (or adults) who also may be riding built racing engine's (207-220cc) KLX's having 30 H.P. such as our own. This wheel was destined to go into the super-mini class but we later opted for another wheel option. There are many people who think and (companies selling parts) for all 3 sizes of these bikes that believe these bikes are all the same except their wheels. THEY ARE NOT !! For example, this wheel will not fit / work in your smaller base model or the mid size "L" model. You must have the 2017 and onward "G" model to use this full size dirt bike wheel due to the longer swingarm and brake differences. If your staring out with an 'L" model and want to use this wheel, all you need to do is use the G model swingarm and brake calipers sliding anchor / spacer in your existing L frame because the side to side or hub spacer width is the same. Next you will need to run G model brake disk and sprockets as they too are different, after that your "L" bikes tail end has now become the full size version because the 2 bikes use the same chain. that cant take big air, full size riders, or lots of horsepower, will crack or explode, and never stay tight BUT LOOKS ALL BLINGY then there's plenty of it here on eBay from all over, heck you can even get 2 or 3 wheels for this or less money and we all know it. ** If you plan on building a super mini or know someone that is going to, then please send them here as I know for a fact this wheel will save them many weeks of down time while sourcing out quality parts piece by piece, the shipping cost for each step and individual parts, headaches and even a possible crash.
