Antique Marx and Gutherz Carlsbad Teapot Creamer and Sugar Set Pattern 1538, Service for 10
Pattern is a thorny branch with leaves and blossoms. The colors are muted greys, yellows, brown with an orange tinge, and blues. Most of the gold trim has been worn away but otherwise in very good condition. No chips, breaks, cracks or repairs.
The set came with a note from the family as to when it was purchased (summer of 1888) for a relative. (see photo)
Measurements approximately - (measurements taken without lids and at widest points)
1 - Teapot - 7" tall x 5 1/2" wide
1 - Sugar - 5" tall x 4 1/2 wide
1 - Creamer - 5 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide
10 - Teacups - 3 1/4" across x 2 1/2" tall
10 - Saucers - 5 1/2" across
10 - Lunch Plates - 7 1/4" across
