1988 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham d’Elegance. The highest level and most expensive model available in 1988. Rear wheel drive. The V8 5.0 307 engine runs and drives beautifully. The car had one owner from 1988-2020. The interior is in very nice condition and has not been smoked in. Perfect dash. The seats are plush soft leather in great condition. The dark blue paint is shiny and nice, with some imperfections. The A/C compressor was noisy when I turned on the air so I unplugged it, It may need a compressor clutch or compressor. The CEL will come and go, off more than its on. I checked the code and it is for the TPS, a part that is common to replace every few years on these Caddy's, It does not affect the drivability of the car at all. The rear bumper has some rust. I have seen excellent bumpers for sale on Ebay for 2-300. When I had it inspected, the mechanic said that everything looks like new in the brake system. The car stops true and firm. The headliner fell while in parked in my driveway on a couple of really hot days. The very clean original fabric can be reattached to the headliner, I read how to do it and looks like an easy do-it-yourself project.All in all this is a very well kept and cared for car.
