1960 Fenwick model 337 Fly rod and tube 9 ' STEELHEAD SIZE RARE !!!

Description

The lucky high bidder will win a really fantastic  vintage Fenwick fiberglass fly rod.  The serial number is A 6085 --  The rod dates to 1960-61   NICE GOLDEN COLOR !!
The rod is a 9'  --  2 piece fly rod.   Model number 337 .   Weight given is 5 1/4 oz.    No line weight rating ( I think a 9 weight)  This was meant to be a steelhead fly rod I think
Absolute great condition --   the rod has seen very little use
All  aspects are FANTASTIC!!!   Line guides and wraps are in great shape -- the rod has never been repaired anywhere and both sections are equal in length.   The joint fit is great!
The rod sleeve is correctly marked for this rod.   In my opinion is doesn't fit the rod well and it is just a little short to please me.  The green Fenwick rod sleeve like this is very uncommon to find though
The rod was found inside the old aluminum Sierra rod tube --   great fit and protection for the rod.   There are no dents or major dings in the tube -- it does have tarnish and storage marks .  Remember this is 60 years old --it isn't perfect.   There looks to have been an address label that has been removed
